BANDHWARI WOMEN'S PROJECT
Our flagship intervention, Bandhwari Women’s Project empowers women in the community with stitching skills for sustainable livelihoods. At present, the program engages 20 women artisans in circular livelihoods, skilling them on how to upcycle textile waste into valuable lifestyle products. With a combination of tailoring, and empowerment skills, Bandhwari Women’s Project addresses key developmental areas to advance women for better life outcomes.

Saree to Story is Bandhwari Women's Project's fabric collection initiative that gives pre-loved silk and linen sarees and dupattas a second life, transforming them into handcrafted products by women artisans while honouring traditional skills, fabrics, and community-rooted knowledge. Saree to Story is part of a circular journey rooted in sustainability and empowerment.
The collected fabrics are used both for product creation and as training material, helping artisans refine their skills, strengthen their artisanship, and build long-term economic resilience.

Saree to Story supports women artisans by providing access to raw materials that enable continuous training and production. The initiative strengthens income generation while promoting climate-conscious practices through textile upcycling.
